The Kindness Angel Project

While working on her Kid Kind Bag Project, which supplied uplifting bags of treats, toys, and goodies to children impacted by the Fox Valley tornado, Katelyn received a very special message. It was from an individual who had lost a Katelin in their family who wished to make a donation.

The donation was made in honor of Katelin Mae (Zebro) Blaschka, who passed away in January 2026 of triple-negative breast cancer at just 31-years-old. Katelin was a dedicated nurse who was also passionate about helping others and veterans.

"In January we lost our beautiful Katelin to cancer. Like you, she had a loving, giving heart. She was a nurse, working until her last week with us. And she also loved her veterans, surprising her grandpa last year when he arrived home on the Honor Flight. Katelin never took time off for herself in spite of battling cancer 3 times in 3 years," Kristi said.

Katelin's story has left a forever mark on our hearts and for kindness to live on, Kristi has made a donation in her memory. Katelyn is so thankful for her generosity and is pleased to share that the donation will fund The Kindness Angel Project.

Through The Kindness Angel Project, Katelyn will spread a little extra holiday magic by surprising two individuals—a veteran and someone undergoing treatment for breast cancer—with Christmas gifts. Her hope is not only to highlight kindness, but also to bring happiness, warmth, and cheer to their holiday season in honor of her fellow Kindness Angel, Katelin.
